Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.

ciao, mi serve un chiarimento su alcuni tuoi caricamenti. In ordine sparso:

a che titolo ti dichiari autore di immagini come File:Teatro ospedale di Cuasso.png, che sembra piuttosto vecchiotta e presenta alcune caratteristiche delle scansioni fatte dalle pagine di un libro? Stesso dicasi per File:Il logo del Corpo Bandistico San Giuseppe di Cavagnano.png: vuoi dire che l'hai disegnato tu?
come mai immagini come File:Incendio ospedale di Cuasso.png o File:2° padiglione.png hanno una qualità così bassa? Se sei l'autore, dovresti poter produrre un fotogramma raw, di qualità e con i metadati in ordine. Come mai invece dei png così mal messi?

Allora, scusa ma ero in vacanza fino all'altro giorno. Quella del teatro nell'ospedale è una scansione di una foto datata circa 1920; il logo non l'ho disegnato io ma è di libero utilizzo; quella dell'incendio non saprei dirti perché la qualità si sia ridotta, perciò puoi anche cancellarla; stessa cosa per quella del padiglione, era di qualità migliore in precedenza e non so perché si sia ridotta. Provvederò a sostituire quelle di qualità ridotta con altre di qualità corretta, puoi anche cancellarle. IWriteWikiLol (talk) 19:31, 8 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

tipicamente, se si riceve una richiesta di chiarimenti, occorre rispondere prima di fare altri edit. Capisco e apprezzo la voglia di contribuire, però sui progetti Wikimedia ci sono regole e buone pratiche da rispettare.

Nello specifico, che il logo della banda sia di libero utilizzo, non puoi autocertificarlo tu: deve essere il titolare dei diritti a mandare preventivamente un permesso scritto a permissions-it@wikimedia.org in cui ti autorizza al caricamento. Questo perché il copyright, sui progetti Wikimedia, viene trattato molto seriamente. In nessun caso si deve caricare materiale "a sentimento", in quanto - anche in buona fede, anche senza volerlo - si rischia di configurare violazioni che possono avere conseguenze spiacevoli per te e per questo sito.

A tal proposito, se carichi qui foto storiche, devi *sempre* indicare in descrizione da dove le hai prese, senza qualificarti come "autore" laddove non lo sei. Per quella del teatro dell'ospedale ho corretto così, osserva anche pf come ho modificato la licenza. Come fonte ho indicato "archivio privato": è giusto o l'hai presa da una qualche pubblicazione?

Sempre a tale riguardo, vorrei che tu mi indicassi data (anche approssimativa) e origine anche delle seguenti immagini, così da poterle licenziare correttamente:

Da ultimo, ma non meno importante, non hai dato risposta al quesito chiave: le immagini come questa, questa, questa le hai scattate tu? Tra i tuoi caricamenti vi sono foto che non hai scattato tu, e se sì, da dove le hai ricavate?

@IWriteWikiLol: , scusa, ma il copyright è una cosa seria. Per la foto degli anni '20 possiamo chiudere un occhio perché - magari per sbaglio - hai caricato una foto in pubblico dominio per scadenza dei termini, ma delle altre devi dare riscontro. @Vale93b: ha chiesto da dove vengono quelle foto, dovresti dare conto una per ciascuna da dove vengono, perché posa, disomogeneità della qualità e altri fattori mi fanno dubitare che l'autore sia tu. Pertanto rispondere qui dev'essere la prima cosa che farai quando rientri su wiki (vedo le tue cronologie, quindi lo so se ignori l'avviso), altrimenti passo al blocco della tua utenza su Commons e alla cancellazione in immediata di qualsiasi cosa tu abbia caricato. -- Blackcat 18:46, 12 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
